Advanced Playwriting

The goal of this advanced six-week playwriting workshop is to assist the playwright in getting an existing play to its next best draft.This hands-on workshop is for playwrights who have a complete piece that needs work. This will be an athletic creative experience, where playwrights will be sharing their work in class and receiving feedback on a weekly basis. Topics include: dealing with creative blocks, character arc, dialogue, structure, style, theatricality and, of course, rewriting. In addition to walking out with another draft of
their work, playwrights will also learn the business of playwriting including where to send their material for developmental workshops, grants, fellowships, competitions, agents and more.
