New! Post-Show Discussions

To ensure that all students attending our matinees receive the best theatrical and educational value for their tickets, all our morning matinees now include an optional 15-20 minute post-show discussion. Discussions are led by a Hartford Stage teaching artist and may include members of the cast.

A Note about Age Appropriateness:

Ticket Reservations:

Choose a performance date and how many seats you would like reserved and contact Group Sales (860-520-7244, groupsales@hartfordstage.org). Group Sales will then send you a reservation confirmation invoice with any pertinent performance information. Group Sales will do their best to accommodate schedule changes, subject to availability. Payment is due two weeks prior to the performance. Seats can only be guaranteed with receipt of a deposit and/or signed payment agreement.

Tickets are nonrefundable. Programs and artists are subject to change. Hartford Stage cannot be responsible for the refund of expenses incurred by the school such as transportation or meals.

Winter Weather Policy for Schools

Delayed school openings:

If, on the day of your scheduled performance, a weather-related delayed school opening will cause your group to arrive late to the theatre, please leave a message at (860) 520-7244 by 8:00 AM indicating your expected arrival time.

School cancellations:

If your school is closed, due to winter weather, on the day of your scheduled performance, a message must be received from your group at (860) 520-7244 by 8:00 AM. Student group patrons missing a scheduled performance due to weather-related school closures will be issued "standing room" passes for any remaining performance of the production booked. Although no patron in standing room is guaranteed a seat, every effort will be made to issue such standing room vouchers for a date(s) on which students are likely to be seated. Standing room arrangements are flexible and "user friendly" - Hartford Stage's assurance that students who have missed a performance due to school closure might still attend the production.

Hartford Stage is easily accessible from I-84 and I-91, and is approximately two hours' drive time from Boston and New York City.
